Positive Thinking

Some days are easier than others. Some days feel effortless and enjoyable, while on others every step feels like a drag. What’s the difference? It’s in your attitude.

When you are feeling positive and good about the world, your approach is lighter, you look for solutions and you are more forgiving. When you are feeling negative, you can feel like you have the weight of the world on your shoulders, you see problems and you are very critical of others. Not a pleasant way to be.

The good news is that you own your emotions and attitude, no-one else can tell you how to feel. If you feel as though you are trudging through mud in over-sized wellies, then it might be time to kick them off and skip lightly instead. It seems logical that if you have a choice of whether to feel good or bad, you would choose to feel good. So why isn’t everybody upbeat all of the time? It seems that we allow other stuff to get in the way — stress, worry, too much to do and too little time. The secret is to have the belief that everything will turn out ok and that you can handle anything which happens.

So what stops you getting on and doing the things you want to do? There can be any number of things which individually or combined will cause delay. Only once these have been identified and overcome will you begin to stride in the right direction.

Nature gave men two ends — one to sit on and one to think with.

Ever since then man’s success or failure has been dependent on the one he used most
